Alex Cash –
I have done many thousand joyous miles on my GTA Evo, home and abroad, and have loved every one of them.
From sunny bike packing epics, to a rainy daily commute, my Vaaru has been a faultless joy to own.
The naked simplicity of the exposed Titanium turns heads, keeps it looking crisp and its always ready for adventure!
Clip in, turn those cranks and you’ll never look back.
Following my bike fit with James, the geometry suits me perfectly and the component choices were ideal.
If you are considering buying a beautiful Titanium bike – look no further than James and his attentive team at Vaaru.
Go on, do it – buy a Vaaru, you won’t regret it at all!
James Ketchell –
I am extremely happy with my Vaaru GTA, and the experience I had with James when purchasing the bike.
In 2014 I cycled 18,000 miles around the world, not long after when I was preparing to cycle around the cost of Great Britain in 2016, I met James (founder of Vaaru ) at the NEC cycling show, we both had a passion for cycling and quality bikes.
It didn’t feel like James was trying to sell me a bike, in fact he wanted to make sure it was right for me, which I appreciated. The very first Vaaru that I owned was actually a second hand Octane, despite this James still helped me set it up and rebuilt it for me, as it was going to be used to cycle around the coast of Great Britain. It worked perfectly and looked amazing!
Fast forward a few years and many thousands of miles on my Vaaru, I decided to switch to a GTA as I felt it was going to be prefect to cycle across America for a third time!
After a full bike fit and geometry set up with James it was one of the most comfortable bikes I had ever ridden, and after riding 3,000 miles across America I came to realise that the GTA is probably the best all round Titanium bike you could probably own!
I personally love the look of titanium, even though I had the option of a bespoke paint scheme that James offers his customers. One of the advantages of leaving the frame bare is that it can be re-brushed to look like new again after years of hard riding, meaning the frame will quite literally go on forever.
If you can only have one bike I would recommend a GTA with two wheel sets, I have raced criterium events on my GTA and the very next day swapped out the wheels and have been off road bike packing.
When you buy a Vaaru you are not just buying a bike, you are buying a bespoke experience from the set-up, build and on-going support, to me that has a lot of value. I was very impressed with the whole experiences James provided.
