An elegantly painted pink and blue titanium V:8 road bike

This is the latest V:8 Di2 custom finished bike which is the result of 40 hours bespoke paintwork and saddle embroidery.

The colour scheme for the bike was inspired by a special memory of the customer’s; the moment he finished the ascent of Mount Ventoux.

A custom bike is a team effort, after an initial consultation we sketched several concepts of how the bike could look and with the customer’s feedback we narrowed it down to the final design. Some of the finer saddle and paintwork details were left as a surprise for the customer.

After a bike fit to check all the components were the correct size the exciting work began. Turning ideas into reality takes a number of processes from sand blasting, priming, painting, flatting and polishing. This handcrafted finish took 40 hours of work, on top of the labour involved in creating the frame and components in the first place.

The frame is a titanium 3AL/2.5V VAARU V:8 Di2 with VAARU F:160 forks and V:TS titanium seatpost. Shimano Dura Ace Di2, Pro Stealth Evo one piece bar and stem. The wheels were Edco Aerosport Umbrial DB which RRP at £1999. The complete bike pictured finished at £7700.
